I'm using Analytica 7 in Parallels on Mac Book Pros, both Intel and ARM processor units. Both computers have the latest version of Python installed on the Mac side. Given that Parallels has access to the Mac file system, is it possible to point the Python Environment to the Mac installed version of Python (I have tried doing this, but to no avail.) rather than a Windows installed version, or will Analytica only use a Windows installation of Python? If the latter is true, would it be possible to add that capability to a future release?

I doubt that will work. I think you'll need to install your python env on the Windows side. Many python modules are DLLs that are specific to the operating system. I don't have a Mac myself, so I can't try it.

@lchrisman thanks! I did install Python on Windows and have it working in Analytica. I was just hoping that there might be a way to avoid maintaining multiple Python configurations.

Download Free Analytica

The free edition of Analytica includes these key Analytica features:
Free Analytica has no time limit. The only constraint is it won’t let you create more than 100 variables or other objects. But your model can be quite substantial since each variable can be a multidimensional array. It also lets you explore, change inputs, and run existing models of any size (excluding features unique to the Enterprise or Optimizer editions).
